The Decking Start/End Clips are specially designed for attaching the first and last board of your terrace. Thanks to the sturdy and invisible attachment, the boards remain firmly in place, without visible screws. This ensures a tight, stable and professional end result of your bamboo decking terrace. The clips contribute to a neat and durable finish of your project, without any shifting.

Subframe: Ensure you have a sturdy subframe on which the bamboo deck boards will be mounted. Create a slight slope in the frame, typically 1 cm per meter, to allow water to drain away from the boards. It is best to construct the joists from Azobe hardwood.
Joist Spacing: Make sure the joists are placed at a distance of at least 40 cm and no more than 50 cm apart, measured center to center.
Fastening: Place a clip on each joist against the deck board. You will start with a starter clip. Use the screw to fasten it to the subframe. Next, place the intermediate clips on each joist but do not tighten them completely! You can then slide the next row of deck boards into place. Once both boards are seated in the clip, you can tighten the screw. Attach the final board using the end clip.
Finishing: Ensure that all screws are properly tightened for the long-lasting enjoyment of your deck.

Tip: Use a decking clip at every joist. That amounts to a minimum of 4-5 clips per bamboo deck board.

For the best installation of your bamboo deck boards, use the decking Start/End clips in combination with the intermediate decking clips.
