Outdoors, the roller blinds can be used, for example, as a flexible roof or wall of a pergola or canopy for shelter and a cozy atmosphere. And for creating privacy around a jacuzzi or swimming pool. A bamboo roller blind is ideal for blocking sun, wind, cold and rain. Our bamboo roller blinds are sturdily made and can last a long time with outdoor use. When the roller blinds get wet, let them dry first before rolling them up again to prevent mold formation.

Bamboo roller blinds are available in different colours: Natural (made from light bamboo) and black (dark brown). Both colours are natural. The bamboo roller blinds are made from bamboo poles that have been flattened until slats of 15 mm wide are formed. These are then connected together with black nylon thread to a height of 200 cm. When you look at the roller blind, you can see the nodes of the bamboo pole; so you can clearly recognise the bamboo structure.

These bamboo roller blinds are available in 3 widths: 100, 150 and 200 cm wide, and are suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Handmade on the island of Java and delivered complete with a pre-assembled rolling system, allowing you to easily control the light intake yourself. The bamboo roller blinds are slightly translucent, but provide better coverage than a reed roller blind.

Bamboo roller blinds in their natural form can often be used outdoors. Bamboo roller blinds are extremely strong; however, our advice is to bring them inside during winter. And if the roller blinds get wet, let them dry first before rolling them up again.

Our bamboo roller blinds are water-resistant, but not completely waterproof. This is because there are small gaps between the bamboo slats. They do dry quickly after a rain shower, though.

You can easily cut bamboo roller blinds to size yourself. You can shorten bamboo roller blinds in width using a mitre saw or a sharp fine-toothed saw. You can shorten the roller blinds in height by cutting the cords. Make sure to always leave the cords a bit longer so you can tie the bottom slat back in place.

Our roller blinds provide shade and privacy, but are not completely blackout. This way it remains a natural and unique product.

Wiping with a dry or slightly damp cloth is sufficient. Avoid harsh cleaning agents. For stubborn stains, use Bamboo Cleaner. Tip: Do not roll up a bamboo roller blind when wet or damp to prevent mould formation.
