What are bamboo facade boards?

Bamboo cladding boards are solid boards produced from bamboo that is compressed under high pressure. This production method creates a hard and stable board that is excellently suited for cladding facades, walls and ceilings.

Our bamboo facade panels are 14 cm wide and 18 mm thick. Depending on the chosen model, various lengths and profiles are available. This allows you to match the appearance of the cladding to the design of your home or building.

The profiles create a sleek pattern of lines. Our Nano Six has six grooves on the visible side and a warm brown colour. The Thermo Triple has three grooves on the visible side and a darker, robust appearance.

This makes the bamboo boards suitable for, among other things:

  • facade cladding for barns and garden houses;

With different profiles and colours, you can determine how fine or robust the line pattern will be.

The Bamboo Cladding Board Nano Six has dimensions of 250 x 14 x 1.8 cm. The visible side features six grooves, creating multiple narrow lines. The warm brown colour gives the facade a natural and modern appearance.

The Bamboo Cladding Board Thermo Triple has dimensions of 200 x 14 x 1.8 cm and three grooves on the visible side. This makes the visible strips wider, giving the facade a bolder appearance. The dark brown colour suits modern homes, commercial buildings, barns and houseboats.

Bamboo Cladding Board Nano Six - 250 x 14 x 1.8 cm

The Bamboo Cladding Board Nano Six is a solid cladding board made from compressed bamboo fibres with a warm brown colour. With dimensions of 250 x 14 x 1.8 cm and 6 grooves on the visible side, this bamboo cladding board offers a finer line pattern than the Thermo Triple.

The six narrow strips give a facade, wall or ceiling a modern and stylish appearance. The Nano Six is suitable for various applications indoors and outdoors and can be used, for example, as bamboo facade cladding, bamboo wall cladding or ceiling cladding.

The bamboo cladding boards feature a tongue-and-groove connection, ensuring the boards fit together neatly. You can install the Nano Six both horizontally and vertically.

The cladding boards are mounted using the special Facade Clips Nano. These clips are attached to the back of the board; this is the side with the fewest grooves. The side with 6 grooves is always the visible side.

How do you mount bamboo cladding boards?

A beautiful bamboo facade starts with a good substructure. The bamboo cladding boards can be mounted on a suitable wooden or bamboo substructure, depending on the chosen system. Ensure a level construction and sufficient ventilation behind the cladding.

The boards feature a tongue-and-groove connection, allowing the individual cladding pieces to fit neatly together. The cladding boards can be installed both horizontally and vertically. This allows you to determine which line pattern best suits the building.

For installation, we also supply the necessary mounting clips, support battens and stainless steel screws. Make sure butt joints are properly supported and always follow the installation instructions for the specific cladding profile. Other specialised bamboo cladding systems also emphasise the importance of ventilation space, a correct substructure and appropriate stainless steel fastening materials.

Please note for Nano Six: the clips are attached to the back of the board. This is the side with the fewest grooves. The side with six grooves is always the visible side.

Bamboo cladding with a long lifespan

Bamboo is a fast-growing raw material and is widely used as an alternative to traditional wood species. For specialised façade products, bamboo is processed under pressure into a hard and stable material. Other manufacturers of bamboo cladding also emphasise the high stability, hardness and long lifespan as important properties of pressed bamboo façade products.

Our bamboo cladding boards are solid and made from pressed bamboo. According to the product specifications, the cladding boards fall within durability class 1 (EN 350) and use class 4 (EN 335). This makes them suitable for demanding outdoor applications.

The cladding boards are supplied pre-oiled. Please note that bamboo used outdoors may naturally change colour under the influence of sun and weather conditions and may eventually turn grey. This natural process also occurs with other high-quality bamboo façade systems.
