The Bamboo Cladding Boards Nano Six are 250 cm long, 14 cm wide, and 1.8 cm thick. The bamboo boards feature a tongue-and-groove connection, allowing the cladding boards to seamlessly interlock. This gives you a beautiful, sleek façade with boards that connect perfectly. The bamboo cladding boards can be used both horizontally and vertically, so choose whatever you prefer.

Please note: You attach the clips to the back side of the board; this is the side with the fewest grooves. The side with six grooves is always the visible side.

Installation and Use of Bamboo Cladding Board Nano Six

For a beautiful and sturdy end result, it is important to install the Bamboo Cladding Board Nano Six correctly. Follow the steps below to do so.

1. Create a sturdy substructure
Mount the cladding boards on a sturdy, flat substructure of wooden or bamboo beams. Our recommendation is to use the Bamboo Beam Titan for this purpose. Depending on the desired direction of the cladding boards, install the battens horizontally or vertically.

2. Ensure sufficient ventilation
Always maintain adequate ventilation space behind and around the bamboo cladding. This allows air to circulate and any moisture present to be properly drained. Also make sure that water cannot accumulate anywhere behind the cladding boards.

3. Cut the cladding boards to size
Use a sharp and suitable saw blade for cutting, preferably a carbide-tipped saw blade. Saw slowly and let the blade do the work for the cleanest possible cut.

4. Install the cladding boards
Secure the boards with the corresponding mounting clips. Make sure that the butt ends of the cladding boards are always adequately supported by a bearer beam. When you need to screw directly into the bamboo at certain points, always pre-drill first. Bamboo is a very hard material. For outdoor applications, preferably use suitable stainless steel screws.

5. Maintenance and colour preservation
Bamboo used outdoors will naturally turn grey over time due to weather exposure. Would you like to preserve the original warm, brown colour for longer? First clean the facade with water, let the bamboo dry completely, and then treat it with Bamboo Shield Nano oil. Repeat the treatment when weather conditions and use require it.

The Nano Six bamboo cladding board is a low-maintenance product with a long lifespan. When exposed to sun and rain, the board may turn grey, a well-known phenomenon with bamboo. However, this has no effect on the structural strength or lifespan; it is purely aesthetic. Would you like to keep the beautiful brown colour? Then treat the cladding boards once a year with Bamboo Shield Nano oil. Before treating, make sure the boards are clean and dry, and allow them to dry thoroughly. Do not use any products containing caustic agents for cleaning; it is best to use only water.

Hoe monteer je bamboe gevelplanken?

Een mooie bamboe gevel begint bij een goede onderconstructie. De bamboe gevelplanken kunnen afhankelijk van het gekozen systeem op een geschikte houten of bamboe onderconstructie worden gemonteerd. Zorg daarbij voor een vlakke constructie en voldoende ventilatie achter de gevelbekleding.

De planken zijn voorzien van een mes-en-groefverbinding, waardoor de afzonderlijke geveldelen netjes op elkaar aansluiten. De gevelplanken kunnen zowel horizontaal als verticaal worden toegepast. Daarmee kun je zelf bepalen welk lijnenspel het beste bij het gebouw past.

Voor de montage leveren we ook de benodigde bevestigingsclips, onderliggers en RVS schroeven. Laat kopse verbindingen goed ondersteunen en volg altijd de montage-instructies van het betreffende gevelprofiel. Ook andere gespecialiseerde bamboe-gevelsystemen benadrukken het belang van ventilatieruimte, een correcte onderconstructie en passende RVS bevestigingsmaterialen.

Let op bij Nano Six: de clips worden aan de achterzijde van de plank bevestigd. Dit is de zijde met de minste sleuven. De zijde met zes sleuven is altijd de zichtzijde.
