Mounting to a Wooden Fence or Wall

  1. Drill 4 mm holes through the horizontal bamboo slats of the screen. This ensures a sturdy attachment.
  2. Use 4 x 60 mm screws to secure the bamboo fence. Make sure to place the screws at the top, middle, and bottom for maximum stability. Remember: tight is tight!

Mounting to a Railing or Metal Fence

If you want to attach the Bamboo Fence Budget Natural - without rope - 90 x 180 cm to a railing or metal fence, you can easily do so with tie-wraps. Follow these steps:

  1. Attach the bamboo fence to the horizontal bars of the railing or fence using tie-wraps. Make sure the tie-wraps are tightened properly for a secure attachment.
  2. Walk along the screen to check that everything is firmly secured. Adjust the tie-wraps if necessary.

Customising the Bamboo Fencing Screen

A great advantage of bamboo is that it is easy to work with. Here are some tips for customising the Bamboo Fencing Screen Budget:

  • Reducing the Width: Saw the horizontal bamboo supports to the desired width.
  • Adjusting the Height: Saw the bamboo slats at the bottom or top to adjust the height of the screen. Use a fine-toothed saw.

Tip: Tape the bamboo slats with sturdy tape before sawing to prevent them from fraying.

Placement Tip

Place the bamboo fencing screen at least 2 cm above the ground. This prevents prolonged contact with wet ground, which can cause discolouration. Optionally, use an edge board for the screen to rest on and make sure the screen is level.

How Strong is Bamboo?

Bamboo is remarkably strong and durable; it is often compared to steel because of its high tensile strength. This means bamboo can withstand great forces without breaking. This property makes it ideal for use in construction, furniture and other products that require robustness.
