The Bamboo Fencing Roll Deluxe Natural 180 x 180 high is the best and most sturdy bamboo fencing roll you can find. This is our premium roll, made with extra thick Tali bamboo poles that have a diameter of no less than 5 to 6 cm. This thickness gives the roll a robust appearance and makes it very opaque (95%). The warm, light natural colour instantly brings a cosy, tropical atmosphere to your garden or balcony. The roll is very flexible, as it is fastened with galvanised steel wire. This allows you to easily bend it around corners or curves.

The Bamboo Fencing Roll Deluxe Natural 180 x 180 cm is the absolute top product in our range if you love a robust, natural look. This luxury roll is made from extra thick bamboo poles of 5 to 6 cm, making it super sturdy with a high visual density. The poles are thoroughly connected with strong galvanised steel wire. Because it is a roll, you have great flexibility. Do you have a curved border or a corner in the garden? You can easily bend this roll around it. The natural colour contrasts beautifully against the green of your plants and fits perfectly in a Japanese garden, an Ibiza-style canopy or as a boundary fence. The top is neatly finished (cut at the node) for a longer lifespan. Whether you want to hide an unsightly fence or create a new atmospheric corner: simply unroll the mat and attach it with screws, binding wires or tie wraps. Is it just a bit too long or too tall? You can easily saw it to size yourself with a fine saw.

The Bamboo Fencing Roll Deluxe Natural 180 × 180 cm is easy to install and ideal for standard fences. Follow the steps below for a neat, sturdy and durable installation.

1. Identify the top side

The top side can be recognised by the naturally closed bamboo sticks. Always mount the roll with this closed side facing upwards, so that:

✔ rainwater cannot enter the sticks ✔ dirt cannot accumulate ✔ the bamboo fencing roll lasts longer ✔ the finish looks neat and luxurious

2. Keep 2 cm clearance from the ground

Never place the bamboo fencing roll directly on the ground. Leave at least 2 cm of space to:

  • prevent moisture absorption
  • avoid black discolouration
  • keep the roll looking beautiful for longer

Use an edge board, bottom rail, or hardwood batten to rest the roll on.

3. Mounting against a wooden fence or wall

This is the most stable and most commonly used mounting method.

✔ Pre-drilling

  • Drill 4 mm holes through the bamboo sticks
  • Every 20 cm horizontally
  • Preferably drill through the nodes: these are the strongest points of the stick

✔ Screwing in place

  • Use stainless steel screws
  • Screw in place at three heights: top, middle and bottom

Please note:Fixed means fixed! Check the position before you screw.

4. Mounting against mesh panels or steel fencing

Simple, quick and strong.

Use the following:

Wrap these around the galvanised steel wire in the bamboo fencing roll and pull tight against the fencing. Fasten every 20–30 cm for a stable result.

5. Trimming the bamboo fencing roll

✔ Trimming the width

  1. Open the steel wires on the side
  2. Remove the excess bamboo sticks
  3. Fold the wires back
  4. Twist firmly to secure

✔ Trimming the height

  1. Saw from the bottom side
  2. Use a Japanese saw or another sharp saw with fine teeth.

Tips for the perfect installation

  • Mount on a stable fence for the longest lifespan of the fence, so that it remains standing firmly.
  • Add extra fixings in windy locations
  • Optionally finish the sides with half-round bamboo poles for a premium look
  • Use stainless steel screws to prevent rust stains

Protection & colour retention: Bamboo can turn grey due to exposure to sun and rain. To protect your Bamboo Fencing Roll Deluxe, it is recommended to treat the fencing roll annually with a UV-resistant stain, such as Bamboo Protector. This ensures that your bamboo fencing roll retains its colour for longer.
