Bamboo Ground Protector is a special black coating for bamboo poles that are placed in the ground. This product protects against moisture and wood rot thus making your bamboo materials more sustainable.

Bamboo Ground Protector can be applied to the undersides of bamboo pergolas, canopies or decorative poles in the ground, for example. The parts that are placed in the ground should then be coated with the black protective coating to significantly extend the lifespan.

Bamboo Ground Protector offers the solution for protecting your bamboo in the ground from moisture and bamboo rot. Follow these instructions for use to ensure the best result.

  1. Preparation: Make sure the bamboo surface is clean, dry and free of grease before you start.
  2. Environmental conditions: Check that the temperature is above 10°C and that the weather is dry.
  3. Application: Open the can and stir the Bamboo Ground Protector well. Use a flat brush or roller to apply the coating.
  4. Double Layer: For best protection, apply two coats. Allow first coat to dry completely before applying second coat (approximately 8 hours).
  5. Inside Treatment: Make sure that the inside of the bamboo pole is also well coated. Make sure that at least 2 cm of the coating remains visible above the ground after digging in.
  6. Storage: Store the Bamboo Ground Protector in a cool, frost-free place and out of reach of children to maintain its quality.
