Our Bamboo Renovator Natural is a special yellow-coloured transparent water based varnish which is intended to revive greyed bamboo, particularly suitable to revive the natural colour of bamboo materials such as bamboo poles, bamboo fences, garden fence panels, bamboo fence rolls, pergolas, and more.

Bamboo, like wood, loses its original colour over time due to exposure to sun, rain and wind.

Our Natural Bamboo Renovator has been specially developed with a UV protector for outdoor use. In addition to restoring the natural colour, this varnish also helps to prevent future greying. The light satin gloss finish beautifully emphasizes the deep, warm and natural bamboo colour.

  1. Preparation
    Make sure the bamboo surface is clean, dry and grease free before you start. Remove any dirt and dust to ensure perfect adhesion. Our advice is to use a bamboo cleaner beforehand.
  2. Stir Well Before Use
    Open the can and stir the contents well before application. This ensures an even distribution of the protective properties.
  3. Application
    Apply Bamboo Renovator with a brush and spread the varnish well (or use a paint sprayer for large surfaces) depending on the discolouration, we recommend applying 2 to 3 thin layers.
  4. Weather conditions
    Make sure the ambient temperature is not lower than 10°C. Only apply Bamboo Renovator Naturel in dry weather.
  5. Drying time
    Allow the Bamboo Renovator Natural to dry thoroughly. The surface is dust-dry after ± 1.5 hours, tack-free after ± 4 hours and paintable after ± 16 hours.
  6. Storage
    Store the Bamboo Renovator Natural in a cool, dry, frost-free place and out of reach of children.
  7. Annual Protection
    To maintain the natural beauty of your "yellow" coloured bamboo products, we recommend applying a new layer of Bamboo Renovator Natural annually.
