Attaching a split bamboo fence to a wire mesh panel, metal fence or balcony is easy using binding wires or cable ties. Bend the cable ties around the galvanized steel wire running through the split bamboo fence and pull them tight.

Attach as Roofing

When used as roofing, it is important to ensure the mat has sufficient support to prevent sagging and extend its lifespan. Depending on the material of the structure on which the split mat is used, we recommend using the special mounting screws, binding wires, or tie-wraps. Use enough fastening material to prevent it from being dislodged by the wind.

Customizing your Split Bamboo Mat

If you want to shorten the width of a split bamboo mat, cut the galvanized steel wires at the desired location with a pair of pliers. Be careful not to cut the wire too short, because you still need to leave a bit to fold the end back and secure it back into place. This will keep the fence sturdy and neatly finished.

To adjust the height, you can saw or cut the bamboo strips to the desired height with sharp pruning shears. When sawing, preferably use a fine-toothed saw blade to prevent the bamboo from fraying.

Maintaining split bamboo fences is simple. Here are some tips to keep them in good condition:
