This unique garden gate is expertly handcrafted by the Masters of Bamboo. Thanks to our years of experience with bamboo products, we know exactly what a strong and durable gate needs to meet.

Extremely strong and ready for installation right away

  • Place the garden door as a fence gate in your front or back yard to create a neat and natural passageway.
  • Combine a left-hinged and right-hinged garden door for extra wide access, for example at driveways or larger garden paths.
  • Between our Budget / slat bamboo fences (with or without rope), the garden door forms a natural and stylish whole in your garden.

With our years of expertise in bamboo, we're happy to help you get started. This way, you can be sure that your garden gate hangs securely and stays beautiful.

Our black Budget garden gate is delivered ready to use. You only need to install it. Pay attention to a few important points during installation to ensure a neat finish and a long lifespan.

Important points for hanging:

  • When ordering, check whether a left- or right-opening garden gate best suits your situation.
  • Make sure you have a spirit level at hand. This makes it easy to see whether the garden gate is hanging straight.
  • Hang the garden gate at least 2 cm above the ground. This prevents the gate from absorbing moisture and extends its lifespan.

Hanging:

  • Make sure the garden gate is mounted between two sturdy posts.
  • Attach the garden gate using the included thumb plate hanging system and hinges. Do this at multiple points so the garden gate hangs stably and doesn't wobble.
  • Check that all screws and mounting hardware are securely fastened and that the garden gate opens and closes smoothly.

Tip: You can optionally finish the posts with our half-round Java bamboo poles for a beautiful and natural look in your garden.

Our Bamboo Garden Gate Budget Black (100 x 200 cm) is delivered untreated. This means you can decide the finish yourself: do you prefer matte or glossy? Do you want to give the gate extra protection against the weather, or restore the natural colour over time? No problem! Below we explain exactly how to do this with our maintenance products.

Basic maintenance:

Bamboo is a natural product, which means it can discolour due to sunlight and weather conditions. Small cracks are normal and do not affect the sturdiness of the garden gate. For extra protection from the start, we recommend using our Bamboo Protector 1L. This is a transparent water-based stain. This product will give your garden gate extra protection against UV rays, moisture and dirt, and will therefore extend the lifespan of your garden gate.

Restoring discolouration:

Has your garden gate discoloured over time due to UV and greying? Then use our Bamboo Renovator Black 1L. This stain restores the natural colour of the bamboo and also provides extra protection. Please note: this contains pigment, so the more you apply, the deeper the colour becomes.

Cleaning:

For regular maintenance, a damp cloth or a soft brush with water is sufficient. Is there stubborn dirt? Then we recommend our Bamboo Cleaner 500ML. This is a specially developed cleaning agent that will remove dirt without damaging the bamboo.

Tips for a long lifespan:

  • Treat your garden gate regularly with our maintenance products.
  • Check the hinges and lock from time to time, so that the garden gate continues to open and close smoothly.

With the right care, the Bamboo Garden Gate Budget Black can remain beautiful for years and give your garden a natural and stylish appearance. If you have any further questions about maintenance, please feel free to contact the Masters. We are happy to help!

How Strong is Bamboo?

Bamboo is remarkably strong and durable; it is often compared to steel because of its high tensile strength. This means bamboo can withstand great forces without breaking. This property makes it ideal for use in construction, furniture and other products that require robustness.
