The cladding boards are made from bamboo fibres compressed under high pressure: 1050 kg per m³! The Bamboo Cladding Boards Thermo Triple are 200 cm long, 14 cm wide and 1.8 cm thick. The bamboo boards feature a tongue-and-groove connection, allowing the cladding boards to seamlessly connect to each other. This gives you a beautiful, sleek facade with the boards fitting together neatly. The bamboo cladding boards can be used both horizontally and vertically, so choose whatever you prefer.

Bamboo cladding boards have fire class Bfl-s1, making them excellently suited for durable and high-quality ceiling and facade cladding. Installation and use of Bamboo Cladding Board Thermo Triple

For a beautiful and sturdy result, it is important to install the Bamboo Cladding Board Thermo Triple correctly. Follow the steps below.

1. Build a sturdy substructure
Mount the cladding boards on a sturdy, flat substructure of wooden or bamboo beams. We recommend using the Bamboo Beam Titan for this. Depending on the desired direction of the cladding boards, place the battens horizontally or vertically.

2. Ensure sufficient ventilation
Always leave enough ventilation space behind and around the bamboo cladding. This allows air to circulate and any moisture to be drained away properly. Also make sure water cannot collect anywhere behind the cladding boards.

3. One visible side with three grooves
The Thermo Triple can be used on one side only. The back is flat and the front has three grooves.

4. Cut the cladding boards to size
Use a sharp, suitable saw blade for cutting, preferably a carbide-tipped blade. Saw steadily and let the blade do the work for the cleanest possible cut.

5. Install the cladding boards
Fasten the boards with the matching fastening clips. Make sure the ends of the cladding boards are always adequately supported by a supporting beam. Where you need to screw directly into the bamboo, always pre-drill first, as bamboo is a very hard material. For outdoor applications, we recommend using suitable stainless steel screws.

6. Maintenance and preserving the colour
Bamboo used outdoors will naturally turn grey over time under the influence of the weather. Would you like to keep the original warm, brown colour for longer? Then first clean the facade with water, let the bamboo dry completely and then treat it with Bamboo Shield Thermo oil. Repeat the treatment whenever weather conditions and use require it.

Bamboo cladding boards have a long service life and may eventually turn grey. How quickly this happens depends on where the bamboo boards are installed.

If the bamboo cladding boards receive a lot of sunlight, they will turn grey faster and you can choose to treat them more often with our maintenance oil: Bamboo Shield Thermo oil.

  • If the cladding boards are installed in a shaded or damp spot, they may develop a green film sooner. You can also use Bamboo Shield Thermo oil for this, but make sure you clean the boards first.

Hoe monteer je bamboe gevelplanken?

Een mooie bamboe gevel begint bij een goede onderconstructie. De bamboe gevelplanken kunnen afhankelijk van het gekozen systeem op een geschikte houten of bamboe onderconstructie worden gemonteerd. Zorg daarbij voor een vlakke constructie en voldoende ventilatie achter de gevelbekleding.

De planken zijn voorzien van een mes-en-groefverbinding, waardoor de afzonderlijke geveldelen netjes op elkaar aansluiten. De gevelplanken kunnen zowel horizontaal als verticaal worden toegepast. Daarmee kun je zelf bepalen welk lijnenspel het beste bij het gebouw past.

Voor de montage leveren we ook de benodigde bevestigingsclips, onderliggers en RVS schroeven. Laat kopse verbindingen goed ondersteunen en volg altijd de montage-instructies van het betreffende gevelprofiel. Ook andere gespecialiseerde bamboe-gevelsystemen benadrukken het belang van ventilatieruimte, een correcte onderconstructie en passende RVS bevestigingsmaterialen.

Let op bij Nano Six: de clips worden aan de achterzijde van de plank bevestigd. Dit is de zijde met de minste sleuven. De zijde met zes sleuven is altijd de zichtzijde.
