  • Natural look: The Guadua Bamboo poles are cut and come straight from the plantation. The colours are purely natural, so colour differences or natural spots are part of the natural look of this bamboo fence.
  • Sustainability: Because the Dagua Bamboo Bicycle Stand is made almost entirely of bamboo, it is the most sustainable model ever sold, especially when compared to metal bicycle stands.

Installation Guide: Bamboo Bike Rack, Bike Stand, or Guidance Barrier

The rack is delivered as a complete kit and includes a clear assembly manual. Below are the key steps and options for a sturdy installation:

Step 1: Choose the right location and check the ground
Determine where you want to install the rack and check for any underground cables or pipes.

Step 2: Choose your installation method based on the surface
You have three options for installing the posts:

  • A. Installing Bamboo Poles Directly into the Ground:
    Dig or drill holes that are at least 60 cm deep. Treat the bottom of the post with Bamboo Ground Protector and place the post directly into the hole. Then, fill the hole with soil or concrete for extra stability.
  • B. Using a Bamboo Ground Spike Pole Holder:
    Use the Bamboo Ground Spike Pole Holder (Ø 40 mm) to securely anchor the bamboo posts in the ground. Place the ground spike at least 45 cm deep into a dug hole and fill with concrete for even more stability. Then, slide the bamboo post over the ground spike and secure it with the provided nuts and bolts.
  • C. On Hard Surfaces with a Surface-Mount Pole Holder:
    To install the rack on a hard surface like a concrete floor, tiles, or decking, use the Bamboo Pole Holder with Base Plate Ø 40 mm. Fasten the holder to the surface with suitable plugs and screws, slide the post over it, and secure it with the provided bolts and nuts. Ensure the post remains raised 2 cm above the base plate to prevent moisture absorption.

Step 3: Check and level the rack
Make sure the rack is perfectly level and adjusted to the desired height.

Step 4: Finish and allow to harden
Fill up the holes thoroughly with soil or concrete and compact it firmly. Let the concrete fully cure before you start using the rack.

Step 5: Additional protection after installation
After assembly, treat the bamboo with Bamboo Booster Oil or Bamboo Protector to better preserve its color and extend its lifespan.

The bamboo, both under the ground and above ground, can be treated and protected.

When placing the Dagua Bamboo Fence in the ground, we advise you to first treat the part that goes into the ground with Bamboo Ground Protector.

Once the bike stand has been installed, you can treat the bamboo above ground with Bamboo Protector. This varnish offers a sturdy protective layer that preserves the natural look of the Guadua bamboo and provides long-term protection against greying and other weather influences. For outdoor use, we recommend applying a new layer of Bamboo Protector annuallyin order to slow down the greying process of the bamboo.
