  • Installation of Natural Fence Rolls: Natural fence rolls such as bamboo, reed or willow fence rolls can be easily and quickly mounted against a mesh panel.
  • Garden fences: They are ideal as garden fences, allowing you to create a secure and attractive enclosure for gardens, front yards and back yards. They are strong enough to prevent pets or wild animals from entering the garden.
  • Animal shelters: Galvanised mesh panels are perfect for building animal enclosures, such as chicken coops or rabbit hutches. They provide ample ventilation and protection from predators.
  • Support for Plants: In the garden, wire mesh panels can be used as support for climbing plants or flowers, allowing them to grow upright.
  • Security: These panels are often used in commercial and industrial environments for security purposes, such as fencing construction sites or warehouses.
  • Playgrounds: Galvanised mesh panels can be used to enclose playgrounds and sports fields, providing a safe environment for children and athletes.
  • Decorative Elements: In addition to functional applications, mesh panels can also be used decoratively in landscape design, for example to visually separate different parts of a garden or site.

We have put together some useful tips and advice for installing and securing your mesh panels.

  1. Place mesh panels between garden posts with a head size of at least 7 x 7 cm and 270 cm in length for the best results. Only use hardwood posts if you want to let the wire mesh grow over with climbing plants. The aggressive roots can quickly attack spruce garden posts. If you are going to cover the wire mesh with garden fence rolls, you can of course use spruce posts.
  2. To install the garden posts, drill or dig a hole that is approximately one third of the post length deep to create a solid base. This prevents the garden fence from possibly blowing over.
  3. If your property boundary starts at a facade, you can use a 4.5 x 7 cm beam. Fix this to the wall with large (hammer) plugs and screws.
  4. Then calculate the space between the posts (width of the mesh panel -7 cm), so that you have enough space to attach the mesh mats to the garden posts.
  5. Attach the mesh panels to the wooden posts with our special mesh panel clamps and screw set. Place the clamps vertically so that there is enough space to mount 2 panels next to each other. Screw each clamp with 2 screws and use 6 mesh panel clamps per mesh panel. Are you using hardwood posts? Then pre-drill first!
  6. If the end of the garden fence does not come out exactly the right width, you can easily cut the mesh screen to size with concrete shears.

Optional: you can now attach bamboo fencing rolls, reed mats, willow mats or heather mats by using binding wires or cable ties for a stylish and natural look.

Frequently Asked Questions

For a sturdy garden partition, you can place the mesh panel 180 x 180 cm between wooden garden posts. Masters of Bamboo recommends posts with a minimum top size of 7 x 7 cm. If you want the mesh panel to be covered with climbing plants, or clad with bamboo fencing rolls or other natural rolls, hardwood posts are recommended.

For a mesh panel of 180 x 180 cm, we recommend 6 mesh panel clamps per panel. Each clamp is secured with two screws. This way, you can firmly mount the galvanised mesh panel against the wooden posts.

Yes. If 180 x 180 cm is too large for your garden or project, you can cut the mesh panel to size with a bolt cutter. This makes the panel also suitable for smaller or non-standard dimensions.

Yes. A mesh size of 10 x 10 cm provides sufficient open space for climbing plants to grow through and along the mesh panel. This allows you to use the panel as a climbing frame or as the basis for a green garden partition, but of course also to mount your natural fencing roll against it.

The galvanised finish protects the steel mesh panel against weather conditions and premature rust formation. Over time, slight rust formation may occur at wire ends and welding points. According to the product specifications, this mesh panel has a stated lifespan of approximately 15 years.

How Strong is Bamboo?

Bamboo is remarkably strong and durable; it is often compared to steel because of its high tensile strength. This means bamboo can withstand great forces without breaking. This property makes it ideal for use in construction, furniture and other products that require robustness.
