Thanks to the even flow of the lacquer, a sleek and professional finish is created. 7. Steps: Protects bamboo stair treads from everyday wear and tear and provides a scratch-resistant finish.

Follow these simple steps to beautifully finish your bamboo plywood, countertops or furniture with our Bamboo Lacquer.

  1. Preparation of the bamboo
Sand the bamboo surface well and make sure it is clean, dry and grease free. Wipe the bamboo with a damp cloth to prevent fiber build-up.
  2. Application of the lacquer
Apply the lacquer undiluted for optimum adhesion. Use a felt roller or a professional brush (no foam roller to avoid bubbles).
  3. Applying the lacquer
Spread the paint (lacquer) evenly in strips or areas to avoid differences in layer thickness. Apply three coats for full protection.
  4. Environmental conditions
Do not apply the lacquer at temperatures below 10°C, above 30°C or at humidity above 85%.
    Provide adequate ventilation during drying.
  5. Tips for a perfect result
Wait for the previous layer to dry before applying a new one. Do not cover fresh layers for the first two weeks. Avoid direct sunlight during application and drying, and ensure that the surface is at least 3°C above the dew point.

With these steps you will achieve a beautiful and durable result for all your bamboo surfaces.

A Masterful Plant

How Strong is Bamboo?

Bamboo is remarkably strong and durable; it is often compared to steel because of its high tensile strength. This means that bamboo can withstand great forces without breaking. This property makes it ideal for applications in construction, furniture, and other products that require robustness.
