How to hang a roller blind? With our special hanging system and this step-by-step guide, you can install a bamboo roller blind yourself. Our roller blinds are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and installation is quick and easy. You can also cut a custom bamboo roller blind by shortening the bamboo slats with a saw, preferably one with fine teeth (Japanese saw).

Attach the wide bamboo slat of the roller blind to a frame or beam. This can be done using hooks to hang the slat from, screws, zip ties, or steel wire.

Note: When using screws, pre-drill the bamboo slat first to prevent cracking.

Measure and Mark: Measure the desired width and mark the cutting line.

Sawing: Saw along the marked line on a stable surface.

Finishing: Make sure the slats are cut evenly and sand any rough edges.

    Shorten Height

    Supplies

    • Pair of scissors
    • Measuring tape
    • Pencil

Measuring and Marking: Measure the desired height and mark the cutting line on the strings.

Cut: Cut the strings at the marked points. (Be sure to leave some extra length so you can tie the strings securely.)

Adjust and Tie: Roll out the roller blind and tie the strings again.

Tip: For window treatments, it often looks better if part of the bamboo roller blind remains rolled up. Therefore, make sure the roller blind is always longer than the window or frame.
