Assembly of the Basic Bamboo Mat

To ensure the bamboo mat has a long lifespan, we recommend placing the mat at least 2 cm above the ground. This prevents the mat from coming into direct contact with wet ground, which can cause black spots over time. A side board can help with this, so that the mat rests neatly above the ground.

Attach to a wooden fence or wall
Drill 4mm holes through the bamboo sticks. Drill holes every 20cm in the horizontal direction. Screw the mat in place with screws. Make sure the mat is secure by fixing it at the top, middle and bottom for maximum strength.

Attach to mesh or fencing
You can easily attach the bamboo mat to mesh or fencing with binding wires ortie-wraps. Wrap the tie-wraps around the metal wire of the mat and tighten them to the fence.

Shortening Bamboo Mat
Bamboo is an easy material to work with. To shorten the width of the mat, loosen the metal wires on the side. Then pull out the desired number of bamboo sticks and tighten the wires again.
