Discover our half-round black bamboo screens (180 × 180 cm), an affordable and stunning way to give old fences, railings, or walls a fresh, natural look. These screens are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, combining functionality with a beautiful aesthetic.

The garden screens are made from half-round dark Java bamboo poles with a width of 6 to 8 cm, securely mounted on robust slats. Black palm rope is used for a decorative finish, giving the screen an Asian-inspired look. Don't like the palm rope? No problem—it is easy to remove. Since it is purely decorative, removing it won't affect the screen’s stability.

Because the bamboo poles are halved, these screens are lighter and more affordable than our Giant bamboo screens. Thanks to their flat back, they are specially designed to be screwed flush against a wall or wooden fence. This makes them an ideal solution for quick and easy renovations.

All our half-round bamboo fences are handmade in Indonesia with great attention to quality and craftsmanship. They are available in various sizes.

Attachment to a Wooden Garden Screen or Wall

The half-round design with a flat back makes for easy, tight installation.

Drill 4mm holes through the horizontal bamboo slats that run through the screen. This will ensure a secure fit. Use 4 x 40mm screws to secure the bamboo screen. Make sure to place the screws at the top, middle and bottom for optimum stability. Remember: Don't over tighten!

Mounting on a Balcony Railing, Mesh Panel or other Fencing.

Do you want to attach the Half-round Bamboo Screen to a balcony railing, mesh panel or other fence? This can be easily done with cable ties. Follow these steps:

  1. Attach the bamboo screen to the horizontal supports of the fence with cable ties. Make sure the cable ties are tightened for a firm attachment.
  2. Walk along the screen to make sure everything is secure. Adjust the cable ties if necessary.

Customising the Bamboo Screen

Bamboo is an easy material to work with. Here are some handy tips to resize the Half-round Bamboo Screen:

  • Shorten Width: Saw the horizontal bamboo slats that run through the screen to the desired width. First, untie the black palm rope before sawing the slats, so that you can tie the rope back together later.
  • Adjust Height: Saw the halved bamboo poles at the bottom or top to adjust the height of the screen. Use a fine-toothed saw for this.

Tip: Before sawing, tape the halved bamboo poles with strong tape to prevent fraying.

Placement Tip

Place the bamboo screen at least 2 cm above the ground. This prevents prolonged contact with wet ground, which can cause discolouration. If necessary, use a side board on which the screen can rest and ensure that the screen is level.
