Use 4 x 40 mm screws to secure the bamboo screen. Make sure to place screws at the top, middle, and bottom for optimal stability. Remember: do not overtighten!

Mounting to a Mesh or Wire Fence

Do you want to attach the Half-round Bamboo Screen to a mesh or wire fence? This can easily be done with zip ties. Follow these steps:

  1. Attach the bamboo screen to the horizontal supports of the fence using zip ties.
  2. Ensure the zip ties are pulled tight for a secure attachment.
  3. Walk along the screen to check that everything is securely fastened. Adjust the zip ties if necessary.

Resizing the Bamboo Screen

Bamboo is an easy material to work with. Here are some handy tips for resizing the half-round Bamboo Screen:

  • Shortening the Width: Saw the horizontal bamboo slats that run through the screen to the desired width. First, untie the black palm rope before sawing the slats, so you can tie the rope back on later.
  • Adjusting the Height: Saw the half-round bamboo poles at the bottom or top to adjust the height of the screen. Use a saw with fine teeth for this.

Tip: Place sturdy tape over the halved bamboo poles before sawing to prevent splintering.

Installation Tip

Install the bamboo screen at least 2 cm above the ground. This prevents prolonged contact with wet soil, which can cause discolouration. If needed, you can use a gravel board for the screen to rest on and to ensure it is level.
