The Most Beautiful Natural Rose Arch & Garden Arch Made of Bamboo

We find many types of garden arches online, usually made of iron or wood. These are often available in smaller sizes, no higher than 2 meters.
This is done to ship the product as cheaply as possible.

But how can you erect a 200 cm garden arch securely?
You can't place this in the ground, because the passage wouldn't be high enough to walk under. So you have to secure the arch to the ground in another way. For example, by driving stakes into the ground and attaching them to the rose arch.
Another option is to secure the arch with rope or attach it to the fence or shed. In short: the 200 cm length can be a drawback.

The models currently on the market look beautiful and once they become overgrown, you can no longer see the structure of the garden arch.
To create a distinctive look, we've created bamboo rose arches from thick bamboo poles. These have a beautiful, robust appearance.
We have selected two types of bamboo that are suitable for making these types of constructions.

Rose arch made of Java Black

The Latin name is Gigantochloa atroviolacea . This species originates from Indonesia and has a beautiful dark brown color. These bamboo poles are available in thicker diameters and have the right properties to create a sturdy structure, such as a rose arch.

This species grows quickly and is ready for felling after 3 to 5 years. The bamboo is still green the first year, and as the plant matures, the green color changes to a beautiful dark brown.
The color is purely natural and not dyed.
Personally, this is one of my favorites to use: a true feast for the eyes and an enrichment to your garden.

Please note that this color will not last with outdoor use. Sunlight (UV light) will cause the rose arch to fade. The dark posts will naturally turn gray.
If the rose arch is not overgrown and gets a lot of sun, this process will go faster.
In the shade or when used indoors, graying will not occur.

Rose arch made of Guadua

The Latin name is Guadua angustifolia , and it originates from Colombia. These bamboo poles are natural in color and were specially selected by us for their properties.
Guadua is one of the strongest bamboo species available, so making a garden arch from it was a logical choice.

This species also grows in 3 to 5 years and is then mature and ready for felling.
The plant is green and dried after harvesting. During the drying process, the pole acquires its beautiful yellowish color.
Of all the natural bamboo varieties we sell, this is my absolute number one. These bamboo poles have a rugged look that's impossible to ignore!

Just like the Java black bamboo poles, this species will also eventually turn gray if the rose arch is placed in the sun.

Rose arch 150 cm wide

For walkways or standard passageways, we have four different garden arch options available.
We supply a standard kit with 3-metre-long uprights and 150 cm beams.
We distinguish between a garden arch with a single girder or with double girders.

The difference is mainly in the appearance, with the version with double beams looking more robust and developing fuller vegetation.
Both models are easy to assemble and the big advantage is that you can make these rose arches completely to measure.
You can determine the height and width of your garden arch. The bamboo poles are quick and easy to cut.

Rose arch 300 cm wide

We have created a 300 cm wide garden arch especially for wider passages or driveways.
These are also available in four variants, with single or double beams.
These models can also be easily customized so that they fit perfectly on location.
