Dit spanningsverschil leidt tot scheuren. Heeft een scheur invloed op de sterkte van bamboe? Nee, de scheuren in bamboe hebben geen invloed op de structurele sterkte of duurzaamheid van de paal. Zelfs bij grotere scheuren blijft bamboe stevig en bruikbaar. In vochtige en koudere periodes kunnen de scheuren weer kleiner worden, maar volledig verdwijnen doen ze niet. Dit natuurlijke proces is een eigenschap van bamboe waar je rekening mee moet houden bij het gebruik in je tuin of constructies. Bamboe en schuttingen: Scheuren in bamboematten en rollen Ook bij bamboeschuttingen en bamboerollen kunnen palen scheuren. Dit is volkomen normaal en hoort bij de eigenschappen van het materiaal. Hoewel de scheuren in eerste instantie opvallen, wennen ze na verloop van tijd en hebben ze geen negatieve impact op de levensduur of stevigheid van de bamboeschutting. Bamboe blijft een levend natuurproduct Omdat bamboe een natuurlijk materiaal is, blijft het zich ook als zodanig gedragen. Kleine verschillen in kleur, dikte en structuur geven bamboe zijn unieke uitstraling.
